Even if mobile apps are taking over the world there are quite a few places where a proper desktop app would be nice. Currently the easiest road is to use Electron to write desktop apps in Javascript, HTML and CSS. Unfortunately you can’t use C# or your .NET Knowledge – or can you? With Electron.NET we try to create a bridge between the .NET world and the Electron world. In this talk I will try to cover the motivation behind the project, how it is working under the hood and the current status.
